So, cross out all the games that are on modern consoles, and how much can you recommend? A lot of N64 games haven't aged too well. Even some of their more debatably games are on Virtual Console, such as Yoshi's Story and Cruis'n USA. Rare has Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Perfect Dark, and Conker's Bad Fur Day (In the form of Conker: Live & Reloaded, the Xbox remake) on the Xbox 360, and Nintendo has released Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Mario 64, Lylat Wars, Paper Mario, and much much more on the Wii Virtual Console. Today this is an issue, as both Nintendo and Rare have rereleased most of their top games for modern systems. These guys were the reason you owned a Nintendo 64, chances are. The only particularly good developers for the system were Nintendo and Rareware. While the N64 had a few good games, there was a major drawback. ![]() Okay, now I know that you're probably all thinking "Do you have to ask?" right now, but hear me out for a second. But here's my question: Can you still recommend the Nintendo 64 to someone today? Presenting us with some of the greatest games of all time, and some of my personal favorites, such as Banjo Kazooie and Mischief Makers. ![]() While most will say it's not one of the greatest systems out there, I think we all have a soft spot for the N64.
